Britam Rwanda Partners with Nyarugenge District to Drive Climate Resilience

Britam Rwanda has partnered with Nyarugenge District and the local community in Mageragere Sector to plant trees integrated with crop plantations, reaffirming the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable community development.

As part of this collaborative effort, Britam Rwanda is supporting the planting of 10,000 trees through the Ecoforest climate-tech platform. The platform digitally maps and monitors each tree using GPS technology, mobile tools, and satellite data—ensuring transparency, traceability, and long-term impact assessment.

This initiative not only strengthens climate resilience and boosts environmental restoration, but also empowers smallholder farmers by improving land productivity and restoring ecosystems. Through Ecoforest’s real-time data insights, Britam Rwanda can accurately measure and track its environmental impact, showcasing how technology can make sustainability interventions both measurable and meaningful.
